BJD’ MENIFESTO –A MOST REGRESSIVE MANIFESTO EVEN IN 21ST CENTURY You start reading the BJD manifesto, and after two sentences you can go through it at a rocket speed. Full of freebies, doles and sops-no thought provoking idea at all. Crop loans at 1%. Loans to SHGs, High Mast light, concrete roads etc. But, you will not find anything concrete as to how the jobs will be created; growth of incomes will happen and say, growth of economy will happen. Most unfortunate part is that a party after 14 years of power is still dependent on doles and freebies for influencing voters in the election. And I don’t think any ‘manifesto committe’ needs to be set up for this document; any NGO chairman can write it better with a longer list of sops and welfare schemes.
