BJP govt today told the court that they will not disclose the names of swiss bank account holders. Why? I am v surprised. Cong had also refused to disclose names earlier. At that time, we all used to think that cong was refusing to disclose names because it was likely that some people close to cong or some congressmens names might be in the list. We used to think that perhaps cong was refusing to disclose names to protect such people. At that time, BJP was in opposition. They created so much ruckus and demanded that the names shud be disclosed. LK Advani brought an adjournment motion in 2011 and entire bjp forcefully urged the then FM, Pranab Mukherjee to disclose names. The then FM gave the exact same reason which BJP govt gave in SC today. Before elections, Modi ji and BJP had promised that they will disclose the names. This is one of the biggest U-turn of this government. Why is BJP now not disclosing names? Maybe now, after seeing the list, perhaps BJP found that some BJP wallahs were in the list? Possible?
