BJP has always claimed its one USP over all the other political parties existing in India. That it is a party with a difference. That its cadre and leadership is completely different from those of other parties in quality, content of character and ethics. That it is a party based upon ideology and not upon material interests. That its leadership comes from grass root level, after years of struggle and sweat on the grounds. That nothing, not even political victory is dearer to its heart than retaining and nurturing its founding principles, “Tyaag Tapasya aur Balidaan”….. Renunciation, Penance and Sacrifice. Sacrifice of pleasures, luxury, physical comfort, leisure, sensual pampering and vices of the flesh. The BJP has virtually taken over two five star hotels in the city,apart from booking assorted accommodation in a range of other hotels in the capital, where party leaders according to their designation and rank will be lodging. While the Goa Marriott has been selected as the venue and main residential facility for several of its top leaders, the Vivanta by Taj, also located nearby, will host a nearly 300-strong media contingent. One of the hotels is equipped with a casino as well.God knows whether they have separate funds for providing "Casino brand" entertainment to their esteemed guests from "Media" and "All over the country"..... Does this act fits the picture which BJP leaders paint when they vomit long lectures about their political ideology and moral standings? Does virtually buying off media (Of course electronic and print media as well is a sellable and purchasable commodity like a packet of Amul Butter in this post globalization era) comes under those tall ethics which BJP claims make its foundation? Hundred percent sure, this money, which is flowing like dirty water of Campal creek in all these activities, is not coming from the pockets of BJP Leaders or the state cadre or BJP supporters who shout their throat hoarse to defend BJP here on Facebook and internet. This money comes from Party funds. Now if the party coffers would have been possessing money coming from clean sources, would the party waste it like this? In this manner? Of course, this is the dirty money coming from the dirtiest sources. And when the coffers are faithfully filled by the money coming from dirty people, do you think Government is or will be in a moral position to say no when they will try to extract their pound of flesh from our (peoples’) skin? Hence all the mega projects sprouting up illegally all over Goa, no mining related arrests long time in power, casinos still floating in the river and public work contracts going to so called near and dear ones. BJP was supposed to be an alternative for all the vices which Congress possessed since its inception. Elitism, Political patronage from Business Houses and Poishewlle lok, implementing a program decided by those who provide funds to the party and working on and working for a monetary and self beneficiary agenda. But instead of proving itself as an alternative, it proved beyond doubt to be a cheap substitute to Congress. Unfortunate scene. This is the party which claims to draw its ideological nurturing from RSS. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. I have seen with my own eyes most honest and most respectable RSS men using the same set of footwear and same set of Dhoti and Kurta for years together,till the garments as well as footwear show a sign of tattering and wear and tear. Is it in any way in any ethical position to call itself an offspring of RSS, in case RSS too is not affected with the same capitalistic disease of rich man running the machine which it was claiming since its inception to be fighting against? I would suggest the state BJP to take all the delegates for a ride to the newest casino ship that has arrived here recently. That is the newest attraction for which Goa is (in)famous now. Though it is dysfunctional as a casino, it is still anchored there in the river near Verem, showing me its ugly appearance as soon as I begin my day.
