BLACK NECKED SWAN. Years ago I was invited to do an exhibition of my work photos films and slides and also a talk show at the Bolivian marina and casino club, this meant we had to cross over the lake MIRIN ,FROM JAGURAU IN BRASIL . As we cross the lake eyesore many jet skiers. And many dead black necked swans, it was obviously the day jetskis that had collided with them. When I arrived to the casino club marina in Bolivia, I started a campaign to stop the jetskis on the lake because this was the last breeding place that I knew of that particular species of SWAN , I also found many of the nests with rotten eggs because the mother Swaan had been killed so I took these eggs and showed them on the Bolivian television programme. My campaign to stop the JetSki entailed pudding plaques up in the middle of the lake and all around to say jetskis are prohibited because of the swans, that week about 100 jetskis attacked me throwing stones, rotten eggs and general rubbish as they went round and round my trimaran survival creating havoc but I continued to campaign on the radio and the television. Eventually my campaign won WON , SO NOW the Black Swan is breeding again and they have even learnt to surf the waves.Dee the MIRIN. Black swans surfing on YouTube.
