BLOWING YOUR OWN TRUMPET? I was told in 1991by my supervisor in a project defense that if I dont blow my trumpet, them no one will blow it for me. It was left in my hands to talk about my achievements and accomplishments, and that if I failed to do so, no one else would do it for me. That may apply to the rules and principles of living in the world but not in the kingdom life of heavenly citizens. Proverbs27:2 counsels that we must allow others to praise us and not we ourselves and is ben said in the New Testament whose praise is not of men but of God. Hence it is not in our hands to talk about powerful ministration we have received grace to deliver, but to leave all that in the hands of those who have been blessed. to testify to the glory of God what God has been doing through men according to His grace and gifts. However, that is different from a minister standing to minister to a congregation and in an attempt to lift up their faith, recounts what God had been doing in various places through his ministry and that in an attempt to tell them that Jesus remains the same Yesterday and today and forever. Hence, lifting their faith up to connect to the supernatural power that never fails, as he lifts up Jesus. But, in ordinary career in life your CV has to be full, because that is what matters in this life and that is the language they understand.
