BLU Crimes in Venice web series, 12 episodes of 10 minutes Second sight is the ability to see events, places or things far away in space and time or hidden, with an extrasensory perception, also called ESP. Our main character, Christian Blu, is a kind of medium called to Venice to solve 12 mysterious cases of murder. A medium (from latin, means) is a person able to operate as a mediator between life and after-life, thanks to unknown supernatural forces. His ESP powers work through channels extraneous to scientific knowledge. In the first episode he says: I get in touch with them in a spontaneous way, guided by some unknown will. Hes on a wheelchair and and comes to Marco Polo airport from a place unknown, as well as his own past is unknown. The only thing well get to know during the 12 episodes is why hes on a wheelchair. The paralysis of sleep, also called hypnagogic paralysis, is a weird phenomenon that paralyzes the muscles after the awakening and lasts no more than 2 minutes: for that short time, conscience is awaken and eyes can see but all movements are impossible. Its like being in the REM state, when the mind is working but the body is still. Christian Blu cant use his legs because hes in a kind of permanent hypnagogic paralysis, as if hes living in a state of lucid dreaming. All the solutions of the crimes are bloodless and without violence, as if the criminal surrenders to Blus powers of seeing, a kind of situation of revelation and redemption. BLU will be the first web series placed in Venice and that shows a different Venice: fascinating and bewitching sights like islands in the middle of the lagoon, old palaces, churches or monasteries. BLU will also be the first web series that mixes cinema and videoart: the moments of second seeing, or lucid dreaming, will be released with very visionary solutions. It will be a web series because this is currently the most advanced system of participation for a global audience. It will be released in italian, english and french.
