BLU RAY extras. I have seen a few people disappointed that the extras do not seem to have two things: a blooper reel and audio commentary. I think there could be a very good reason these are not included. For the bloopers, it is perhaps that they dont exist anymore. In all my years I have only seen one blooper from the show - and that was during a rear screening Batmobile sequence. You would think that in this media age if they existed, something would have shown up by now. They very well could be lost. Secondly - as to commentary. Maybe Adam, Burt, and Julie DID record commentaries. But - maybe they were deemed BAD. Now before you jump down my throat - think about it. Nearly 50 years have gone by and these people were working on up to three different episodes a week. Sure they can remember it was fun, and I am sure that in a few instances they would have specific things to talk about. But for a very real exhibit A to bring up, Adam and Burt DID do a commentary for the BATMAN film, and overall that was pretty lackluster and disappointing, without anything cool or insightful coming out of their musings. Both Adam and Burt have been caught romanticizing the past about certain scenes, and have been caught in those fibs and embarrassed by them. For myself, I wouldnt want 120 audio commentaries bland and full of fluff like the movie commentary was. Im not one to be blinded by rose-colored nostalgia; I want real interesting facts and insights.
