BLUE VS GREEN Its like a classic ADMU-DLSU match because of their respective team colors, but this is not basketball, it is a tennis match. Who will prevail? Who will go home as winners? The first match was a close match, a match with the returning Johann who hit strong backhands in the game and his partner Jason, one of the young players of the club who shows such great improvements in his game against RF! Roger Federer? Nope, its Roger Ferrari, who can run on the court from corner to corner with just two long strides and his partner Nona who plays with so much consistency. The match ended up in a tiebreak which is also a close tiebreak, but only one can win and that is Johann-Jason pair who wins at 8-7(7). Blue leads 1-0. Second match is a ladies singles match between Olive S. and Nona. Olive who has great groundstroke try to outclass Nona who is having his second straight game. But Nona is already on fire from his first match lose and tried to get his team back in the game. Nona defeated Olive at 8-2. Game tied 1-1. Third match will show another doubles match between the ever funny Do, who made fun both in and out of the court but has a serious net game and his partner Olive R. who has unusual grip (i guess its full western) against the hard hitter and big server Edward with his counter-puncher partner Abet. Both teams tried to outclass each other until they are tied at 7-7 and played for the tiebreak where Do-Olive defeated Edward-Abet at 8-7(5). Blue now leads 2-1. Fourth match is the singles match between the pillars of both team. The speed king Pao against the power hitter Luke. The first part of the match shows Pao leading ahead at 3-1, but then Pao lost fuel. Luke, hits strong forehands on both sides of the court and tried to outpowered Pao and take the lead at 5-3. But you cannot underestimate the singles champion as he was able to refuel and nailed Luke at the score of 5 to take the win at 8-5. Blue leads 3-1. The fifth match is a non-bearing game were both 2nd rankers of each team played doubles, Johann and Olive against Abet and Roger. Both Abet and Roger tried their best to add another win for their team but Johann and Olive is a bit much for them. Johann-Olive defeated Abet-Roger at 8-3. Blue wins 4-1. YELLOW VS VIOLET Is this Big Bird against Barney? No its not, its the team match between the Yellow Team and Violet Team. Its a match of honor between this two teams. The first match shows a father and son match where Lito of the violet team with his partner Tere take on his son Earl and his partner Libby. Earl tried to prove his skills is better than her father with the help of his ever consistent partner Libby. But Lito answered back with you still have lots to learn and with his partner Tere who played well at the net wins a close fight game at 8-6. Violet leads 1-0. Second match is a ladies singles between yellows Carmel against violets Naynay. It was another tough match were both ladies shows their classy baseline game. Carmel trying to lead her team back in the game while Naynay trying to add another win for her team. May the better player win and it turned out that Carmel is the better player this time. Carmel defeated Naynay at 8-6. Series tied 1-1. The third match is a doubles match between the yellow pair of Susan and Yuko against violet pair of JDL and Lizza. Susan shows her consistent gamestyle and great baseline game while her teammate Yuko shows her versatility switching from hard hitting groundstrokes and smashes to consistent returning. While there opponents JDL shows his great net game, poaching whenever possible and her partner Lizza that hits a nice forehand throughout the game. It was a very tight game that everyone watching was tensed. But in the end the pair of Susan and Yuko defeated JDL and Lizza at 8-6. Yellow now leads 2-1. The next match is another singles match between two of the most consistent players of the club. Yellows Geovan will take on Violets JunE. This two players have a lot of history on their matchup with Geovan won most of their tournament games. Both players showed class on battling back and forth for the win. The audience were amazed on their long rallies and it turned out to be a battle of wit and endurance as they came into a tiebreak. But in the end Geovan defeated JunE at 8-7(6). Yellow leads 3-1. The last match is a non-bearing match between Yuko and Earl against Lito and Lizza. Earl once again tried to defeate his father Lito with the help of his partner Yuko who had a flawless game. But still Lito wins the game with her partner Lizza. Lito and Lizza defeated Yuko and Earl at 8-6. Yellow wins 3-2.
