BLUNT BUT SHARP 7. AREGBESHOLA AND HIS STRING OF LIES. (1) A little while ago, when he entered the saddle of leadership in Osun State, Ogbeni Aregbe started the eventual collapse of the education sector. He coined it in his confused mind as Education Transformation. He balkanised our secured education system before his arrival, into Elementary, Middle and Senior categories. He merged all schools without going into the ideological history of how and why most of the schools were established. What concerned him was how much money in kickbacks he could make and remit to his masters who made him a puppet governor over us. His thinking paid of because there is no way he could merge schools without changing infrastructures. He promised 100 elementary schools and ended up commissioning only 20 in the state, 50 senior schools with only 12 commissioned. Let me inform us that most of the Middle and Senior schools are condensed mostly in the same premises. In collaboration with his wife and the former Commissioner for Industry in Lagos, who served when he, Aregbe was the Commissioner for works, Aregbe brought Omoluabi Garments. Aregbeshola coerced all parents and guadians in the state from elementary to senior schools to source all uniforms from this single outlet christened industry. His singular reason was to make all uniforms, that dont give peculiar identities, to be sewn same way. Like minds on different walls asked him then whether in his myopic thought, our tailors, males and females who had been practising their trade before he was unfortunately born into this planet knew no more of this trade. He succeeded in making them wretched!!! What was lost on our people was that Aregbe did not have the interest of developing education, but to puncture our treasure bag through kick-backs from contractors. He always took his cuts upfront. Today it is no more news that the celebrated Omoluabi Garments Industry is now history as the premises of the Industry is under lock and key. It is located along Gbongan Road a few meters away the State Secretariat, Abere, Osogbo. 2. To siphon more of our wealth, Aregbeshola in his dubious manner brought in the idea of Opon Imo, Tablet of Knowledge. He mesmerized our poor people into the belief that their children and wards in schools will no more buy textbooks. He lied to them that the opon imo is all encompassing. Out of 50, 000 expected opon imo only 15, 000 was supplied. The contract of whopping #8.7B was awarded to his son Kabiru Aregbeshola. Before the commencement of the last WAEC regulated examinations, all the Opon Imo was withdrawn from our poor pupils without any reason from this government of deceit. Some of us however found out that the said tablet of knowledge was embellished with 70% errors. Osun State was in the 28th position in the nation in this said WASCE results out of 36 states and Abuja. We are to remind ourselves that the sitdown strike of school teachers resulted in our pupils not having any assessment of their educational performance this just concluded 1st term 2014/2015 academic session. This is the first time in our chequered history that examinations would not be conducted in our schools. And we claim always that knowledge is power. 3. On Tuesday, 23/12/2014 pensioners, out of frustration staged a peaceful protest to demand their stipends denied then by this government of Aregbeshola in the past 4months. Yet Aregbeshola would go on air to make market men and women believe, he had paid all without being indebted to none. On Wednesday, 24/12/2014, forgetful of his myriad of lies, Aregbeshola called Labor Leaders of TUC and NLC to a meeting. After hours of jaw jaw, the bombshell was released. Aregbeshola said the state is in economic coma. He however directed the RATTAWU to call off their strike action, or else.......... Nhmmmmmm, Omo Oduduwa ni wa.... trumpeted the following day, from our radios without any commitment to the wordings of the state anthem. He had always claimed that his predicaments was caused by the federal government. I wish to admonish Aregbeshola that if he was saying the truth, I dare him go to court on this issue of the Federal Government emansculating the state purse to retard its developments. 4. On the eve preceding his inauguration, 26/11/2014, Aregbe told the gullible people of Osun that the State Executive Council and all Boards are dissolved. No qualms. At least it took him more than a year to inaugurate the last Exco and thirty four months before inaugurating Boards. We thought the step was a good riddance to bad rubbish. After inauguration, he secretly retained Engr. Mrs. Williams the immediate past S.A. on water resources as the Consultant on same water resources. She still occupies thesame office she was as the S.A. within the State Secretariat in Abere. We are of the opinion that the office of any Consultant to the government should be outside the precinct of the Secretariat as an officer of the private organization. The reason for this hurried appointment of a Consultant for water resources will be revealed soonest. Aregbeshola thought he had monopoly to information and knowledge. Na lie!!!!!! Recollect the meeting he had with labor leaders above refers. He told them to calm their nerves, that he will not have any political appointee for now to save funds. I make bold to inform the people of Osun State that Aregbeshola is a man not of his words but a master of double standard. He said he had dissolved the State Exco and all members and their chairmen. He promised Labor leaders that he wont appoint any Political Office holder. Whereas some members of the last Exco who belong to some influential political leaders were retained. Some of them are Arch. Muyiwa Ige Commissioner and his cousin, Kunle Ige, (Special Assistant) the sons of Uncle Bola Ige and Dele Ige, Bola Ilori the Ile Oluji, Ondo State born S.A. on Environment, Dr. Temitope Ilori Commissioner for Health, is the daughter of Chief Bisi Akande, the 2nd Executive Governor of Osun State, Barr. Wale Afolabi, Attorney General and of course Sunday Akere, the Hon. Commissioner for Information. Not let down are Mr. Shoyode, the son of Mrs. Shoyode and daughter to the Late Sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Kola Akanji, the OSBC Board Chairman without board members!!!! etcetera. ALL THESE FACTS ARE INCONTROVERTIBLE. GOD DID NOT CREATE THE ANT BIG; IT WOULD HAVE BEEN STINGING PEOPLE TO DEATH!!!!!!. Who then is Ogbeni Aregbeshola deceiving but himself. I implore all commenters to please present fact based write-ups to counter these submissions that are meant to improve the awareness of our people in good governance.
