BMI No.870: Tarifa is a small town (Population: 20,000) but strategically located between Morocco and Spain. Being the southernmost point of the European continent, it served as a trading post between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean seas in the olden days. Tarifa was the first port in history to charge merchants for the use of its docks and that gave birth to the word Tariff (government tax on imports and exports)!
