The goal was to get the low down on how the recent, rented vehicle that was involved in an accident. Below is the long and short of that story reported by ACTION 7 news. This video is interesting enough to be sent out as is- Action 7 story: ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —After a group of teens and their mothers were injured in a serious crash involving a rental van, the Public Regulation Commission has decided to investigate the rental company. Maggie Dajani said she took the van back to Star Limo after a tire pressure light came on, but the company said everything was OK. “As a company, they should have known something was wrong,” said Dajani. Dajani said the van shouldn’t have been rented out. Now the PRC, which regulates limo companies, will investigate. The commission aims to find out if a van registered under a limo service through the PRC can be rented at all. Commissioner Valerie Espinoza called for the investigation. “It would be interesting to find out how they are operating and if they are operating legally,” she said. “My goal at the end of the day is to look into whether or not these vehicles were safe and fit, and if they had the proper licensing.” The company’s owner said the PRC was at his office Wednesday, and is waiting for legal counsel before commenting on the accident. Not all the commissioners agreed with investigating Star Limo, including Karen Montoya and Theresa Bicente-Aguilar.
