BMW Compact Cup Competitors. Whilst it may on the outside seem a little quiet in the Compact Cup world we can assure it is not, the 2015 Championship season has a firm grip already with TV discussions, regulation updates, calendars, planning shows, a new website with upgrades for mobile use and much more… We still have plenty of work to do however we are delighted to be able to confirm the following: Spring update for 2015 Season. For the 2015 race season onwards in both England and Scotland, to comply with 2015 Championship regulations all cars will be required to be fitted with an updated and improved Eibach suspension spring set. The GAZ Shocks front and rear shock absorbers will be unchanged from the current specification. In partnership with our title sponsor GAZ Shocks, we agreed that we would work together to find a suspension and spring set up that better suited the handling and balance of our cars. By involving the hugely experienced Eibach spring company, and through rigorous on track testing in recent months we have now developed a spring set that enhances the overall compliance, balance and performance of the cars across various track conditions. This change will be beneficial to all racers whether you are fighting at the front or the back of the field. Springs will be available to drivers through Eibach directly at a cost of £165 plus Vat. We will notify you in due course with the details of how to purchase the spring set, please do not attempt to purchase them yet. Tyre update for 2015 Season. For the 2015 race season in both England and Scotland, to comply with 2015 Championship regulations all cars will be required to qualify and race on Compact Cup supplied / branded Nankang NS-2R tyres (195/50R15 82W). This tyre was chosen due to the consistency and balance it provided after extensive testing with the new spring set. Tyres will be available to drivers through a centralised source at a cost of £52.08 plus Vat with free delivery. We will notify you in due course with the details of the purchase process for tyres. We would like our competitors to be aware that GAZ Shocks, Eibach Springs and Nankang Tyres have all been involved in finding a suspension, spring and tyre combination that will ensure the most consistent and progressive handling balance for our cars.
