BN-VG212 Battery FOR JVC Everio GZ-V500 GZ-VX700 GZ-VX705 GZ-VX815 Camcorder + More!! I have a Everio GZ-500 camcorder. I left my charger for the camera (only charges the battery while in the camera) at a hotel and could not charge my battery. This wall charger and car charger not only charge the batteries that come with it, but also the original battery from JVC. The charger light is red while charging and turns green when the batteries are fully charged, however after it charges the original equipment batter it does not turn green. The price is great since you get two batteries, charger, and car charger. I have only charged and used the batteries once so far, but all is working well. Glad for the purchase. I purchased this charger because whenever I purchase electronic items that require batteries I always purchase extras. Most electronic items only allow you to charge batteries with a USB or AC cord that connects directly to the item itself. Its so useful to have a separate battery charger so that while you are using your device you can also charge a battery at the same time. This charger is simple and easy to use and comes in very handy, and best of all it was very inexpensive. My advice; ALWAYS BUY AN EXTRA STAND ALONE CHARGER! Bought these batts cause the one that came with the camera sucked. took for ever to charge and only lasted about 35_45 mins. Of use. These charge in an hr and a half and last close to an hr. Overall I am quite satisfied. The charger is compact with no messy cables.
