BOARD or BORED? Today, I came across a story a minister told. He had asked all the board members of the Church to wait behind after the Service. When he noticed a particular man waiting behind whom he knew was not a board member, he walked up to him and asked, Sir, are you a board member? Yes the man replied, I am a very bored member; I am very bored in this church! I laughed and then I became rather sober! I found that the Minister said Board, but the Man had heard bored! Something else struck me! Being a board member is a position; being a bored member is a state! Its so very possible that some board members were in actual fact bored members! Many believers today are bored! Bored of services; bored of fellowship; Bored of Church! I realised that a lot of believers see the Church as everything and everyone but themselves! Belevers allow themselves get bored because they have this conception that there are a lot of churches around and so they can keep moving from building to buiding getting bored and tired all over aagin! That building is not the Church; YOU ARE THE CHURCH!!! How possible is it for you to be bored of yourself? You dont have a choice of another body... You would never get bored! You are the Body of Christ; You are the Church! Dont get bored; Get on Board! One of the most beautiful things believers have and share is fellowship with ourselves! Stir yourself up continually; Stay on Fire; dont burn out and dont be put out!!! Paul told the Romans(Romans 12:11) Never Flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, Serve the Lord!!! Keep Fired Up!!!
