BOB AND MARGARET FRATER TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship, valued at up to $10,000, was established by Bob and Margaret Frater, to recognise and reward teachers within Catholic Diocesan primary schools (NSW/ACT) who display leadership qualities and commitment, and who are committed to the continuing development and enhancement of the school system through participation in an international experience. Applications are assessed based on the strength of the following criteria: • Written statement (1500 words) outlining the professional development conference/activity for which the applicant seeks support, and a plan for sharing learnings; • Budget outline of estimated expenses relating to chosen conference or activity; • Evidence of postgraduate qualification or enrolment; • Demonstrated commitment to using qualifications to work for the betterment of the educational community; • Written references, including one from current School Principal. Selection Process Applicants will be shortlisted by a panel consisting of a representative of the Frater family, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students, Learning and Teaching), the Head, School of Educational Leadership, a representative from the Catholic Education Offices in NSE & ACT and the Director, Marketing and External Relations (or delegate).
