Bob Suggs was born December 5, 1933 in Fort Worth, Texas to Elamae (Webber) and Earnest Suggs. He married Taliene Coor in Lamesa, Texas on November 3, 1950 and had been a resident of Welch for 76 years before moving to Shallowater. Bob worked as a police officer in Lamesa for two years, and then in Brownfield for eleven years before retiring in 1971. He then worked for Terry County on the road crew and retired from that job in 1995. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Bobs passion was music. He was well known for his superb fiddling and played his fiddle from Brownfield, Texas to Nashville, Tennessee. He could literally play any instrument, even though he could not read music. Everyone for miles around came to listen to the music played by Bob, his wife, and their dear friends who played music with them for many years.
