BOCH DEVOTIONAL: “Love Abides” This is love, that when we mess up, the very same God who loves us is right there. And in our mess, He does not convict us of sin, so us to point out guilt or somehow get us to repent, that same God embraces us right there in the mess. This is love also that causes us to be so overwhelmed that we do not want to go back anymore to where we came from because this love is at work in us. You see it is love that abides. If men are motivated to turn from their sins through fear, it will not last, they will be back to sinning no time. If men are persuaded to give for any other reason, other than love, it will not be long before they stop. So men will tithe, pray, fast, give only for a moment and then stop, because it was not love motivating them, but the blessing you promised, or the curse you threatened them with. However when Love of God compels a man, it abides.
