BOCH DEVOTIONAL: “You are one with God” You are one spirit with the Lord because you are joined together with him (1 Cor 6:17). The new nature you received is one of Christ, you put off the old nature after Adam and are now fashioned after Christ. Some people fear or get offended when they hear statements like, “I am a god” yet actually what you have received is the exact nature and life of God so your status is even higher than just being a god. Jesus Christ was going to be stoned for calling himself the Son of God because in doing so he made himself equal with God (John 5:18, John 10:33). So you standing and saying I am a son of God, you have already said you are God. In the earthly realm we see children using the names and statuses of their fathers and no one complains because it is known if one is a son of someone they are that person that is why inheritance is also given through that order. God has made you after his own kind in other words he has made you him. When he says you are heir to his throne and co-heir with Christ (Rom 8:17), Christ is God. So you need to know your status, acknowledge it and operate in the authority there in.
