BOKO HARAM, DEFENCE AND NIGERIA The defence ministry and defence headquarters have no excuse whatsoever to give with regard to the more than 450 fleeing soldiers who ran into cameroun to take cover. We can understand and tolerate everything every time but we (Nigerians) cannot tolerate this shameful and embarrasing situation. Nigeria has one of the best military might in Africa if not the world. Our participation in several peace keeping in different part of the world has endorsed our soldiers as one of the best in the world. I personally suspect as I use to hear that our soldiers ran not because of fear but because of shortage of arms and war equipment. They ran away to avoid beign killed like defenceless cockroaches. They have limited arms and with less superior war equipment compare to that of Boko haram. What excuse will the Nigerian Govt give with regards to d fleeing soldiers? It seems the billions of naira being budgeted monthly and annually to fight the insurgency of Boko haram is being channel to somewhere,if not why should our soldiers be steadily running out of arms? What is our airforce and fighter jets meant for? Are they meant for flying ceremony or were they kept in the military zoo? If not how can the insurgents have free operational land access without being hunted by our airforce jet fighters on d air? Tears! Tears and Tears! I cried for my country for loosing her past heroes and even the living ones who are tired. We have leaders and we have leathers! Leaders are gone, what we have now are leathers. Baba iyabo (OBJ) a strong leader of blessed memory will never tolerate and support this nonsense. We ve seen an example of where he crushed some stuborn militias in Odi and Zaki biam inorder to maintain peace and order,it generated so much noise but alas peace reigneth. Compare OBJ times to present times of GEJ where many militias are operating freely as if Nigeria has no leader nor army. We are living witnesses of Bayelsa massacre of mobile police men and army by Niger delta militants, the masacre of many mobile police men in Nasarawa by Ombatse clan and the everyday masacre of our out of war equipment soldiers in borno. For more than 2 years its been repeating itself without any meaningful solution at sight by this Govt. The northern part of this country is seriously burning whereby our president and his team of witty gritty advisers are busy travelling abroad sourcing for milions of dollars donation with which to help d internaly displaced (sham) as well asking for a billion dollar loan to help conbat the insurgents (campaign money) Of all this billions being generated, still our armies lack enough arms and war equipment. If only president Jona can handle the issue of this insurgency (boko haram) the way OBJ handle ODI or Zaki biam or the way late Yaradua handle the oil bunkerers and the militants in the Niger delta, I think the insurgency could have since come to an end. But the problem now is that the insurgency is somehow being politicized, religionized and regionalized and for that only God will help us because every one is afraid to talk or say the truth about the matter for fear of being victimized. May God see us through and bring an end to this messy condition.
