BOKO HARAM:QUESTIONS FOR IHEJIRIKA Since his implication by the Australian as a sponsor of the BH group,Gen Ihejirika has been battling to fend off the charges,albeit unconvincingly. However,I would like to have Mr Ihejirikas explanations to the following questions: (1)Gen. Shuwa:Shuwa was a civil war hero who fought gallantly during the war.He was assasinated about 2 yrs ago whn Ihejirika was head of the Army.A platoon of soldiers headed by a subaltern was quartered near late Shuwas residence for his protection.His assasins went into the residence & mowed down the late warrior without a single firefight frm the platoon.Did Ihejirika courtmartial the platoon for dereliction of duty? (2)JTF Disbandment:The Joint Task Force was comprised of all the services & some para-military organisations.JTF rolled back BHs military momentum to some extent.Out of the blue,Ihejirika disbanded the JTF & replaced it wt newly-established 7 Division of the Army.Thus a tri-service operation was reduced to a single service effort - the Army only.Why did Ihejirika change a winning team,as it were? (3)Defence Budget:Over N2trn was allocated the defence ministry during Ihejirikas time as COAS.The Army was allocated the lion share of the funds.Of late,soldiers revolted over underresources.Some even refused deployment orders on account of lack of equipment.Did the Army get the allocations during Ihejirikas time?If yes,where are the equipment the funds were meant for? (4)Ali Modu Sherriff:His closeness to SAS,former gov of Borno State, is an open secret.The former gov reportedly attended th funeral of Ihejirikas mother (?) in Abia State recently.Would Ihejirika tell the world whn & how his relatnship wt the putative BH financier started?
