BOKO-HARAM TERRORISM IN NIGERIA; WHO IS FOOLING WHO? The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, yesterday, refused an application for the trial of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume who is accused of sponsoring the Boko Haram sect, to be conducted in secret. The Vanguard News The curious application for the secret trial of Senator Ali Ndume was said to have been filed by the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Mr Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN) There have been accusations and counter accusations between the ruling PDP and the official opposition Party APC as to who the real sponsors and financiers of Boko-Haram are. This is why the application of secret trial for Senator Ali Ndume by the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation Mr Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN) who should know that Courts do not sit in secret, beats me hollow . The issue of supporters and sponsors of the impious terrorists is of such paramount importance to Nigerians that Alhaji Babangida Aliyu Governor of Niger State and Chairman of the Governors of Forum spoke the mind of the nations when he said; The Boko-Haram is a manifestation of problem and if solved on permanent basis , their sponsors should be identified and punished, because although they have not taken arms against the country, they are more dangerous than those fighting the nation whom we know It is on the foregoing basis that I think there is a hidden agenda that the Government does want Nigerians to know. In any case, like Lord Acton said; Everything secret degenerates, even the administration of justice; nothing is safe that does not show how it can be discussed in public If the AGF does not want a suspected sponsor of Boko-Haram openly tried and punished according to the law of the land, no one should be surprised if he uses the power conferred on him by the Constitution to enter NOLLE PROSEQUI and so stop the trial . But that does not stop the question begging for answer and that is Who is fooling who? Nigerians would want to know from Mr Hon AGF
