BOLD&BEAUTIFUL STORY....around this time last year a beautiful high school Senior found out that she would not be able to walk with her high school class. It was not because she did not have all of the required credits. It was not because she failed any classes. It was because she was not able to pass the math portion of a test called AIMS. Her bold mother contacted the school counselor, vice-principal, and even went to the DYSART DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD OFFICE only to find out that it was a district decision to not allow any student to walk-even if the student passed all of her classes and received all of the required credits. Defeated, the mother had to comfort the daughter as she cried in her arms for days. The Senior was not sure if she would ever get over the heart-break and humiliation. She felt like giving up as if she had no future. Her father covered the Senior with love and prayer and convinced her to take the AIMS test again. He told her that she would walk, and her name would be called. 2 weeks later, the beautiful Senior passed the test and privately picked up her high school diploma from the high school office...but that is not the end of the story! TONIGHT, a year later, the beautiful young woman will dress up in her cap and gown, listen for her name, and BOLDLY walk across the stage to be publicly recognized for her educational accomplishment...you see, its not how you start, its how you finish! and thats what it means to be BOLD & BEAUTIFUL!
