BOM warning for very dangerous thunderstorms: TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING - SOUTHEAST QUEENSLAND for DESTRUCTIVE WIND and LARGE HAILSTONES For people in the Ipswich, Logan, Gold Coast and parts of the Somerset, Scenic Rim, Redland and Brisbane Council Areas. Issued at 5:15 pm Thursday, 18 December 2014. The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 5:20 pm, very dangerous thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Rosewood and Marburg. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east. Very dangerous thunderstorms are forecast to affect Ipswich, Redbank Plains and Amberley by 5:50 pm and Logan City, Wacol and Archerfield by 6:20 pm.
