BONE CLONES: Having a bone clone skull allows audiences understanding of how envenomation occurs-the difference between how a rattlesnake varies from a gila monster, and to view the osteoderms, olfactory, and where the Jacobsens Organ rests. To protect the displays I purchase an acrylic baseball display from Michaels and with the ever trusty hot glue gun create an easily cleanable add-on. Doug Price sent a box of hatched gila eggs and the egg from which my beaded emerged which I also mount giving the audience the total feel and workings of these incredible creatures. Additionally, I have stolen a nice shed from Picasso and am framing it between a $5 acrylic frame-both sides are transparent. Ive thought about getting a non-venomous snakes bone clone skull and other species...
