BONE-MINERAL DENSITY: Hey guys, todays tip is about keeping strong healthy bones. Your bone is a living tissue that adapts to exercise by increasing strength and mass. Bone will adapt to the demand you place on it, so for people will low bone-mineral density you dont want to shy away from exercise, just the opposite. -Bone is the storage site for minerals, especially calcium & phosphorus. -New blood cells are formed inside bones -Perform weight bearing exercises like walking & running as well as jump rope. Doing low impact activities like swimming is not idea for a weight bearing exercise. -Perform weight training & focus on the eccentric portion of the exercise, this is where the most stress is done. -Make sure to get enough calcium through your diet. All this will keep your bones strong & help prevent osteoporosis. Remember exercise & resistance training doesnt just have a positive effect on muscles, it has a positive effect on your health as a whole.
