BOOTS AND HEARTS OFFICIAL UPDATE: from Shannon McNevan, Executive Director, Republic Live As a result of the severe weather conditions yesterday the campsites and parking that were available have become unusable. Getting to and from locations that are not connected by asphalt, specifically in the meadows camping fields (new west fields), is no longer a safe and viable option for camping and day parking. Those that have already been processed, received their wristbands and camping spaces for Boots and Hearts will be readmitted. Anyone with day tickets for Saturday and Sunday can still attend the event but will need to be dropped off at Gate 5 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and walk in. Boots and Hearts will explore the best possible way to make this right for the fans affected yesterday. “We’re heartbroken that we’ve had to close the gates to our fans after all the support they’ve given us, especially when they had been waiting in line for so long,” said Shannon McNevan, Executive Director, Republic Live. “We are going to make this right for our fans that were unable to get onto the grounds yesterday. This decision hasn’t impacted the entertainment and performances for Boots and Hearts and we hope that fans will still come and join the shows on Saturday and Sunday.” How to Access Boots and Hearts Saturday August 3 and Sunday August 4: GATE 1: For fans whose vehicles that have already been processed and received their windshield laminates for GA tent camping and three-day parking but were not able to get back in last night please come to Gate 1 on Concession Road 10. GATE 5: For fans looking to be dropped off and picked up daily please come to GATE 5 (Premium Tent and Quiet Camping) on Mosport Rd. Directions to Gate 5: From the 115 please take the exit for Concession Road 8, travel westbound to Mosport Road and turn right (northbound) on Mosport Road to arrive at Gate 5 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Our top priority remains providing a safe and secure event that everyone can enjoy. Boots and Hearts will explore the best possible way to make this right for the fans affected yesterday. The entertainment for Boots and Hearts will continue to operate as planned. Tonight’s headliners include Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry, with the Emerging Artist Showcase taking place at the Sirius XM Front Porch Stage.
