BORIS BOJOVIC vs. OSCAR BROSTRÖM POULSEN in SEMIFINALS for 12s at BAMBINI! The CONSOLATION of the boys 12s will have a TEAM EUROELITE PLAYER in the FINALS no matter what this year as OSCAR B. POULSEN (Den 2002) will play against EE teammate BORIS BOJOVIC for a place in the finals. It will be a fun match to watch and the winner? a place in the FINALS FOR BOYS 12s CONSOLATION which is considered to be 7th place in this event in Austria! YESTERDAY (July 24) was a tough one for Enzo Cicak and Pontus Hällgren who got their TE points by winning the first round but yesterday Enzo had a tough Italian opponent and lost 0 and 1. Pontus got beat by local favorite from Austria with 4 and 3. Lots of chances for Pontus to take the match over but unfortunately he missed too many "opportunity balls"... mainly smashes, to change that momentum in his favor so the 2-hour match in 30C weather went the Austrains way this time. All are now out of the main but I have to say that for our Enzo and Elias Knutsson to go 76, 64 with the number 1 seeds here in doubles (and also considered to be amongst the top 5 boys in the world (in age 2000 and 1999) was absolutely fantastic!! They left the court happy but also sad knowing they had some chances to take these guys out! The PLAYERS PARTY was last night... almost cancelled because of a sudden rain shower but 15 min before it was to start the sun came out so it was a huge success!! The Tournament Offiicals called me up at the end of the presentations to give me a trophy marking my 15th year here at the Bambini Cup... it was so special for me and our players really hooted!! THANKS BAMBINI!! Andre and Michael had a great YONEX INVITATIONAL MATCH PLAY DAY in Piding, Germany... the home of EuroElite Germany! What a great thing to play vs. other guys from countries who have a rich tradition in tennis... make friends and compete. It was a total success and they will do the same today then go to the THERME! Great timing as it is JESPER KLÖV NILSSONS 13th BIRTHDAY TODAY:-))) OK... today all the players here in Austria have a sleep in except for Boris and Oscar. Then in the afternoon, we have 4 hours of friendly match play vs a German Tennis Academy based out of Munich so this will be super for the boys to do more match play. After the matches, Ebbs TK (our base club here for training) will put on a GRILL FEST for us! MORE SOON but we are having a GREAT TIME HERE IN AUSTRIA!
