BOST ROLLS OUT SMALL-BUSINESS COALITION Regional employers and economic experts to assist with pro-growth policy CARBONDALE, IL - In a response to southwestern Illinois struggling jobs numbers, Congressional Candidate Mike Bost (R-Murphysboro) announced a broad-based small business coalition of support. Job creation and retention is the main concern on the minds of southern Illinois and Metro East families. As I campaign across the 12th, the voters patience is waning and they demand a Congressman who will fight for Illinois, Bost said. We must ask ourselves, where is this magical Obama Recovery that was promised, but has left Illinois behind. Bosts small-business coalition is made up of entrepreneurs and economic development leaders from a broad swath of industries across the 12th district. The men and women who make up the coalition are a diverse cross-section of long-standing southern Illinois employers. The struggles of the Illinois employer have been long documented because for too long we have not been competitive with our border states and when combined with the massive healthcare costs of Obamacare, our employers will continue to struggle, Bost said. In Illinois, small businesses account for 98 percent of all employers and employ nearly half of the states private work force. Sadly, the St. Louis-Illinois Metro East area lost jobs from 2013 to 2014, while other areas of the state saw meager employment increases. I believe that our small-business coalition is among some of the best and brightest minds in the region. These individuals will help us create a smarter business policy to move Illinois forward, Bost said. These business people obviously have what it take to stay in business because they have been able to keep their businesses going in these tough economic times. The members of the Bost Small-business Coalition are listed below; John F. Theen; CFO of Cope Plastics, Inc., Jeff Diederich, Diederich Insurance, Nancy Fricke of Management and Contracting, George Sheffer of Murdale True Value, Rex Cusumano of Cusumano & Sons Produce, George Obernagel; Obernagle Farms, Steve Carter of Knight Hawk Coal , Kevin Hicks of Hicks Trading Station, TJ Martin of TJs Fine Jewelry, Debbie Pittman of Polar Investment & Insurance, Bill Beck of TET Inc., Ralph Miller of Ralphs Small Engine LLC, Mike Cripps; First Bank & Trust, John Forbes; Forbes Financial, Dr. Paul Jacobs; Jacobs and Crabtree (The Doctors of Optometry), Steve McBride; Hot Wheels Skadium, Keith Klaine; Klaine Construction, John Corley; Corley Chiropractic Therapy Center, Steve Wilke; Wilke Window & Door Inc., Mike Morgan of Anderson Overhead Doors, Vic Koenig; Vic Koenig Chevrolet, Stephanie Dykstra of Imaging Center of Alton, Tom Nobbe; Nobbe John Deere, Matt Smallheer of The-Dyed Iguana LLC., Cindy Holt of Koenig Accounting. The small-business coalition will be assisting the Bost Congressional Campaign with policy formulation.
