BOUNCE BACK! The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.(Psalm 92:12 NKJV) The palm tree is an interesting tree. It is by far not the biggest or tallest, neither is it the most valuable amongst its peers. Ive always wondered why David compares the righteous to a palm tree. I found out. In our part of the world, we really dont experience fierce storms or hurricanes. But it was observed that after heavy storms in the United States, there was always a familiar scene, all other trees would be uprooted, including the tallest and biggest trees. They couldnt endure the storms. There was however, another kind of tree, the palm tree, which would initially appear to be destroyed by the storm, but no, they were only bent over, waiting for the storm to pass, and then they rise up again, standing tall, the last tree standing. God built in the trees DNA the ability to bounce back. Even so God has built into the DNA of the righteous, that same ability to bounce back. We can stand every storm of life.Even when it seems we are down, we bounce right back up. We are invincible and indestructible. Hallelujah!.....GM.
