BOUNTY KILLA WARNS YOUTH NOT TO BE LICKY LICKY Self-proclaimed Warlord Bounty Killer was quite vocal on certain issues affecting dancehall and the Jamaican society during his performance at the Famous Nightclub in Portmore on Heroes Day on Monday. The veteran dancehall artiste, warned the youths who were licky licky, a Jamaica term for being greedy, that they were going down the wrong road. (People) Your soul is your goal, he preached. He continued: And the youths dem too licky licky, even more than the gal dem, dem cah hold dem belly, he stressed to a mixture of laughter and stern faces from the crowd. He explained that some youths just want to see a big man with Hennessy and they would immediately want to beg. This the Killer says, is not a good look. Bounty was in his usual cross and angry mood as he bemoaned the fact that a lot of young men nowadays didnt want to work and depended heavily on handouts. The young men that wear their pants below their waist were also bashed by the Alliance boss. However, on the performance side of things, Bounty went mainly for his earlier songs such as Bulletproof Skin, Look into my Eyes, and the poor people anthem, Fed Up. Needless to say, all songs were well received by the audience. The females were given a treat when the Killer performed love songs like Its Okay, and Lets get Intimate. More girl tunes came in the form of Benz and Bimma, Cyaan Tek Yuh Man, which made the females behave badly on the dance floor. Bounty Killer later reached for his conscious side with songs like Rivers of Babylon and Smoke the Herb. However, Bountys biggest forward on the night came with his chanting of man ah bad man so we nuh friend fish, as the forwards went up for the General. He also did his recent smash hit Badmind dem a Pree, a collaboration with I-Octane. Near the end of his set, Bounty called on Alliance members, among them K-Queens and Iyara, who all got favourable responses from the crowd.
