BPDD hosted a powerful group of parent advocates from the Korean Parents Association for the People with Disabilities yesterday. They were especially interested in people with disabilities as leaders and self-advocates, and where enthused to learn BPDD is comprised of a third people with disabilities. They had lots of questions on our Self-Determination Conference, Think College, employment efforts and how BPDD impacts public policy. Great group that shared BPDDs high expectations of people with disabilities and a belief that with opportunity and support, people w/disabilities can achieve great things and make strong contributions.
