BPE VOWS NEVER TO OBEY COURT RULING ON BFIG: The Bureau for Public Enterprises, BPE, have vowed not to honour the latest enforcement order issued by an Abuja high court asking it to ensure immediate and unconditional handover of ALSCON to the rightful owners BFIG of America, led by business mogul Dr Ruben Jaja of Rivers State. This is the latest in the series of executive recklessness for a PDP government that claims to govern by Rule of law. It will be recalled that Dr Ruben Jaja and his BFIG has been in court for over ten years over the illegal acquisition of ALSCON by a Russian company through the back door. Since the inception of these legal cases, BFIG has won all including a landmark Supreme Court decision in 2012 which declared Dr Jaja and BIFG the authentic winners of ALSCON. But BPE, acting on the instruction of the vice President and Gen Obasanjo has refused to obey such landmark judicial rullings. It is only in Nigeria, that foreigners are actually encouraged to run down our sacred institutions just for personal interest. Meanwhile, thousands of ALSCON workers continue to hope against hope for the payment of their severance package years after a Presidential approval. A mere N2.3B is what Jonathan and his cohorts cannot afford to pay suffering Nigerian workers when His administration cannot account for billions of dollars in oil money said to have been stolen by his aides. Only yesterday, about 6 trailler loads of brand new buzzbars and risers were seen being carted away by the Russian managers in ALSCON. This is a classical case of making sure that no aluminum ingot ever rolls out of that plant ever again. Finally, shame on the so called community elders, leaders and youths, who either aid the Russians by buying the scraps or front their sons to buy or worse still, sit by and watch their only investment waste away. You have a long way to go. Take it from me.
