BRAVE TALK with Anup Singh International Film Festival, 2015 At IFFR 2015, a new special screening series called Brave Talk will see the light. Our belief in film as an effective tool to encourage debate, open up public taboos and promote social acceptance lies at the foundation of the launch of Brave Talk. With IFFRs Hubert Bals Fund we have established a long tradition in supporting independent films that address human rights issues or social sensitive topics. We hope to consolidate this tradition by offering such films a special platform in the framework of Brave Talk. Over the years, the festival has become an important platform for independent, critical filmmakers. The festival has offered them a space to debate, reflect and exchange ideas and, most importantly, an international platform to reach out to audiences worldwide, engage with fellow film professionals and generate exposure in the international media. Aware of the urgency of these films and the difficult journeys undertaken by many of these filmmakers, IFFR sees it as its principal task to provide these filmmakers with the international platform they deserve. IFFR is therefore proud to announce the launch of a brand-new special screening series Brave Talk.
