BREAD WITH DRIED GREEN CHANNA LEAVES POWDER Last evening as the 3 loaves of bread were baking in the oven ,my apartment felt like heaven. Sometimes I enjoy the aroma of freshly baked breads more than anything else.From tomorrow onwards for a couple of months I will not be able to post recipes regularly as I have been doing so far due to health reasons. Once I am up and about and the doctor gives me the green signal I will be back cooking And posting recipes which is my passion. In the meantime maybe a few recipes once in a while from my personal album collection. 1 kg maida flour. 2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp salt. 4tbsp olive oil. 1 tsp heaped yeast. 1 tsp heaped any herb dried or finely chopped. Warm water. Mix ingredients from flour to olive oil and make a well. Add in the yeast and pour warm water. After 5 minutes mix and knead a soft dough with the warm water. Cover and keep for 2 hours to rise. Punch down and shape. Place on a greased tray and let rise again. During the summers the dough rises very fast. It took ½ an hour only. Bake in a preheated oven after brushing with egg and sprinkling sesame seeds.Bake 25 minutes at 200 deg. Cool on a wire rack.
