BREAKING: Boko Haram Insurgents Storm Adamawa State, Move House To HouseBoko Haram insurgents appear to be expanding their territory into Adamawa state, launching a series of attacks on villages on Saturday.Tanko Wazumtu, an aide to Adamawa state Acting Governor Alhaji Ahmed UmaruFintiri, confirmed toReutersthat his father was killed in theattacks.The latest attacks, coming on the heels of the sect’s take-over of several towns in Borno State, are seen as part of the group’s ambitious plan to launch an Islamic State in the north-east of Nigeria.TheCable gathered that the militants stormed Gulak in the northern part of Adamawa state, near the hilly border with Cameroon where they arethought to have bases.Sabo Lukas, who escaped to the Adamawa state capital Yola, toldReutersthe militants had gone from house to house in Gulak shooting, and he had seen bodies of victims. “As I’m talking to you they are still there killing people,” he told the news agency.Gulak is about 50 km southwest of Gwoza, a border town in neighboring Borno state seized by Boko Haram last month and where the group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, proclaimed a “Muslimterritory” in the northeast.The Nigerian military has launched an aerial battle in a bid to repel the insurgents who are now believed to have taken Bama, the second biggest town in Borno state.
