BREAKING: Here’s the Surprising “Trick” Found That Could Repeal Obamacare There is a growing sentiment on Capitol Hill that an obscure parliamentary rule could be used by the incoming Republican majority in Congress to do away with at least some of the Obamacare healthcare reform law, according to The Hill. The budget tool known as “budget reconciliation” is a rarely used move that allows legislation to pass through the Senate on a simple majority of 51 votes, instead of the usual 60 votes required to move bills along. It is thought that the reconciliation tool could also be used to push through tax reform, or to repudiate and roll back President Obama’s energy policies. “My guidance is that’s where members are headed,” said one senior Senate Republican aide familiar with the behind-the-scenes budget discussions.It should be noted that the last time reconciliation was used was in 2010, when it was used to push through the atrocious Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, without a single Republican vote. It would be the height of justice, with a twist of irony, for reconciliation to ultimately be used again to bring down that horrible law. Of course, it is expected that Obama will merely veto anything passed by Republicans that goes after his signature healthcare law, but if the GOP remains afraid of what Obama may do, or what he wants them to do, they will get nothing good done at all, and the sweeping midterm election results will seem to be for naught.
