BREAKING NEWS 26 September 2014 On 27 June 2014, the Human Rights Council adopted resolution 26/24 entitled Situation or Human Rights in Eritrea, in which it decided to establish for a period of one year, a Commission of Inquiry to investigate all alleged violations of human rights in Eritrea, to be composed by the Special Rapporteur and two other members. I hereby have the honour to inform your that I have decided to appoint Mr. Mike Smith (Australia) and Mr. Victor Dankwa (Ghana) who will join Ms. Sheila B. Keetharuth (Mauritius), Special Rapporteur, to serve as members of the Commission of Inquiry. Mr Mike Smith will serve as the Chair of the Commission of Inquiry.
