BREAKING NEWS: A horse has died during a hurdle trial at Oakbank today. It is believed Black Moon has tragically become the fifteenth horse to die as a result of jumps racing in South Australia since 2009. RSPCA South Australia has been told the six-year-old gelding was euthanased as a result of a ‘racing incident’ during a hurdle trial this morning. Thoroughbred Racing SA are yet to confirm the horse’s name or any further details of this incident. TAKE ACTION NOW: Add your name to ‘The Illogical Races’ petition: theillogicalraces.org.au/ (it takes less than a minute to sign and make your voice heard). Tell John Glatz, Chairman of the Oakbank Racing Club committee, you want jumps racing withdrawn from future racing programs. This is the second jumps racing death in less than a fortnight after Viva Delspec was euthanased at Warnambool, Victoria on April 3. South Australia and Victoria are the only two Australian states which still hold jumps races. WE URGE YOU to take action, SHARE this message, and help us end The Illogical Races.
