BREAKING NEWS: Another self entitled Republican indicted on $484,092 embezzling charge. Former Mississippi state senator Tommy Robertson, has been indicted on five counts of embezzlement, District Attorney Tony Lawrence announced today. Robertson, 59, has surrendered himself to the Jackson County Sheriffs Office and released on $50,000 bond. He served in the state Senate from 1992 to 2008. Robertson is accused of using his position as board attorney for Singing River Federal Credit Union to embezzle $484,092 in loan proceeds, which he held in trust, for the purpose of distributing funds in accordance with the applicable loan statements, Lawrence said in a press release.
