Slowly with a gentle touch of flow his achievements are worth to talk about. Mr. Byamuakama started selling commodities to his friends and co-workers. When the income started flowing in like river Nile flowing to feed the Mediterranean Sea ,so this is when he realized that he was onto a great business. He set out to accumulate 100 million Uganda Shillings. He quoted Ethan Musolin,” You can become an Eagle if you always hand out with ducks..” His presentation was so simple and sugarcoated with inspiration from within. Yes you have guessed it right, Mr. Byamukama has been attending the Authors’ Forum Kampala and the success stories shared on every first Wednesday of the month have uplifted him to be an emerging Business Titan. Next on stage was Mr. Sadique who owns a franchise of restaurants. A very humble guy , basing from the way he talks and conducts himself. He shared with us secrets that most most people don’t know of to thrive in this world full of opportunities. He pointed out that in Pakistan, they start engaging in business ventures at an early age of 15 years. So by the time they reach 25 years of age, they have accumulated enough experience and have witnessed so many failures to learn from and know how to manage a business to thrive. He pointed out that some businesses look at one year two years and don’t even project into generation to generation succession planning and development of a business. He talked about and really emphasized the importance of changing the mindset first then all will be possible .That is true indeed, because if the mindset is not changed then the road to achievement will not be paved for greatness and development Next on stage was the main speaker Madam Odhiambo. Wow oh wow. I must say this, she is a lady with inspiration on fire. Her talk alone can make you stand and ready to act on your dreams. She was spitting the mighty fire of inspiration and I know many people left wanted to listen to her for more Odhiambo’s Business success was also a humble beginning. She pointed out many issues concerning the start and success of a business. First is starting small and growing big is the message I picked out from her ground Earthquake Like lightning bolt like talk. She spoke with all the energy in her leaving no doubt that successful people are made after being born. She talked about the issues of mindset too. Many people are afflicted by I can’t do this, blame the government, and blame others for their failure in life. Well I have news for you, the only person to blame is you. “You have what it take to succeed ,” that’s what she said. She pointed out and elaborated how we are endowed with nature and that our region (East Africa) is so fertile. Africa on the whole is rich, yet to be explored to reach full potential and yet we are still crying of poverty.
