BREAKING NEWS: FACEBOOK MOVING HEADQUARTERS TO JASPER During a Jasper Council Work Session on Monday, Jasper Mayor Sonny Posey announced that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has agreed to relocate the U.S. headquarters of his social media empire to Walker County, a move expected to create at least 150 local jobs. We dont need to change our status just yet, but its pretty much a done deal, the mayor said. Until a permanent facility for Facebook is constructed in the citys industrial park, Zuckerberg plans to set up shop temporarily in the former location of Williams Furniture in the Parkland Shopping Center.
