BREAKING NEWS: FIVE PEOPLE CONFIRMED DEAD AFTER CONSUMING SUB STANDARD BREW At least five people have been confirmed dead and two others in critical condition at Kapsabet Referral hospital in Nandi County after consuming a sub standard brew. confirming the incident Medical Superintendent Dr Francis Maiyo, said that they received patients last evening, adding that they were on low level of consciousness. Among the victims is Kaptumo Lab technician, a science teacher from St Peters Boys Kapsabet, an Asst/chief Kamobo. The illicit brew , according to Public Health Officer Mr Isaack Ruto has been identified as Premium Gin and Kofi Spirits, is suspected to have originated from neighbouring country Uganda. Investigation are however ongoing to establish how they were snicked into the County. A report from the hospital reveals that the patients consumed the brew from different parts of the County,an indication that the dangerous brews might be in circulation,added Mr Ruto.The Public officer has urged Nandi County residents to be on alert and avail any patient to the hospital with symptoms of consuming the drink. The incident comes barely a day to Presidents and his Deputy to Nandi County.By the time of going more patients who are suspected to consumed the brew were being brought in to the hospital. Sources privy to this information reveals that more security forces have been deployed to the areas in Nandi County to root out the retailers and the brew. in the meantime one suspect have been arrested and is awaiting to be charged at Kapsabet law Courts.
