BREAKING NEWS FOR 2015: Maple Creek town officials have just contacted SW Quest and invited us to partner with them to coordinate an Art In The Tent S.W. Quest event in August of 2015 to coincide with the Taste of Maple Creek Food Festival, the Creek Classics Show & Shine, and the Cypress Cyclones Street Dance. Traditionally the event take place on the third Saturday in August - assuming the plans remain the same the event will take place next year on Saturday August 15th, 2015. This street festival day is one of Maple Creeks signature summer events and draws a large number of visitors from Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, Medicine Hat and elsewhere in the region. Connie Phillips has been organizing the Art In The Tent element of the event for the last couple of years and will continue to play a key role in 2015. The goal is to develop the art element of this street festival to become a major regional anchor in its own right; and the best way to do that is by working with the regional art community.
