BREAKING NEWS. Heavy snow falls are currently being experienced in many areas around our Command including Oberon, OConnell, Yetholme & Lithgow. Lighter falls are happening as close to Bathurst as Raglan. This means our roads are quite slippery at present and we urge all drivers to slow down and drive to the conditions. We have already had calls for a number or vehicles which have slid off roads. There is a strong possibility that if the snow continues to fall road closures will follow. If this happens the RMS will be notified. Please check the Live Traffic site to check for road closures as they happen. Please avoid calling Bathurst or Lithgow Police stations if your call is simply about road conditions or closures, please leave our lines open for emergency calls in this unusual weather event.
