BREAKING NEWS His Excellency General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has agreed to fund the two upcoming away matches of the national teams-Uganda Cranes and Uganda Cubs (U-17 team). The approval by the President follows a request from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) to the government for the support towards the teams. The news was broken to the FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo while on a visit of the Western Region Football Association (WRFA) where he attended their Ordinary General Assembly in Mbarara. ‘We are grateful for the offer from the President of Uganda. This support is timely as we have been struggling with finances’ said a jovial FUFA President Magogo shortly after receiving the news. More details of the President’s offer and support towards the two upcoming games for Uganda Cranes vs Mauritania on 3rd August, 2014 and Uganda Cubs vs Rwanda on 2ndAugust, 2014 will be communicated at later date.
