BREAKING NEWS: Ilorin South LG Chair, EBEDI arrested, detained at E-Division ===================== E-kwara can confirm that the Chairman of Ilorin South Local Government Area, Alhaji Usman Ebedi, has been whisked away by men of the E-division of the Nigerian Police Force, Kulende. It is not yet immediately clear why he was arrested, but several sources informed this medium that he was arrested for alleged disturbance of INEC registration units within the Local Government Area with thugs and street urchins. A source, who claimed to have monitored the episode, informed e-kwara that Mr. Ebedi, in company of political thugs, disrupted registrations at Akanbi Ward 3 and 4 and then made to enact similar scenario at Akanbi Ward 5, Ilorin, where he was eventually trailed and arrested. Ilorin South LG has been in the news lately as both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and a prominent chieftain of the PDP, Mr. Dele Belgore (SAN) have joined issues over a violence that erupted in the LGA last week. Whereas Mr. Dele alleged that certain APC chieftains, including a serving commissioner, were responsible for the fracas, the APC pointed accusing fingers on the PDP gubernatorial hopeful for the being the brain behind the violence. Already, Belgore has threatened to sue two chieftains of the APC in Kwara State over what he termed their reckless allegation. Details shortly….
