BREAKING NEWS ***On wednesday evening at BB BLOCK west campus, the venue where the Student Representative Council converge and motioned for the indefinite suspension of five members of The Student Executive Council including the President Gbenga Kazeem and Vice President Bolarinwa Jerry and three others. They were declared incompetent owing to uncovered finicial embezzlement in the course of a lenghty scrutiny of the submited Income and Expenditure account for the SUG WEEK. After the motion for suspension was moved and seconded, there ought to be a voting excersie by the whole house with only two-third majority having the power to suspend or impeach a sitting president as mandated by the SUG constitution. However this procedure was manoeuvered. The house did not vote to determine the majority supporting the suspension. The motion was only moved and seconded in a rapid and swift Nigerian style. Meanwhile, the audit committee are the ones responsible for the auditing of the SUG account and not Olatunji Ogundipe the speaker of the SRC and other principal officers. Reported by: Sorungbe Kenny.
