BREAKING NEWS The Supreme Court of S Sudan has issued the interior minister: Gen. Aleu Ayeny, an ultimatum to appear in court before Tuesday to testify or face arrest, regarding the trial of the G4.This is because Gen. Aleu had been invited to appear in court on numerous occasions in order to testify, but deliberately failed to show up. This is a blatant show of contempt for the court by this headstrong and arrogant politician. I was mocked by some when I suggested that the case against the G4 be thrown out on the ground that there isnt sufficient evidence for the case to proceed. But now the case is near collapse, although we are not sure about the extent of immunity surrounding the minister in question and also the level of inconvenience it will bring as far as his arrest is concerned, the only thing the court can execute without any inconvenience is to throw out the case as quickly as next week if the minister doesnt show up in court by the deadline or if he shows up and doesnt give sufficient evidence to implicate the four men in the Dec. 15th incident. Now the court is beginning to show its true nature as a truly independent court and the people of S Sudan are excited about that. We can assure our court that we as a people are wholeheartedly behind them in their endeavours to establish justice against all the odds. Now the judges will face threat of different forms, blackmailing, intimidation, etc, but they shall not deviate from the course of justice they are rightly on as we speak. This case is in the full glare of the international media spotlight and it can either bring shame if its mishandled or glory if handled well.
