BREAKING NEWS! The U.S. Coast Guard rescued four people off the 62-foot fishing vessel Jo Marie after the contacted the USCG by VHF-FM radio at 8:16 PM (January 20, 2014), after it crashed into the South Jetty of the Chetco River. Station Chetco River launched a 47-foot motor lifeboat. All were rescued by the motor lifeboat crew. There were no reports of major injuries. So far, no reports off pollution from fuel. Coast Guard Sector North Bend, Oregon, directed the launch of an aircrew aboard an MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter, no report if it actually participated in the rescue.
