BREAKING NEWS: UHURU TRIUMPHS International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda has withdrawn charges against President Uhuru Kenyatta in relation to violence in Kenya after the 2007 General Election. This follows a decision by the court Wednesday on her request for adjournment giving her one week to indicate whether she has gathered more evidence or file notice to drop the charges. “In light of the Trial Chamber’s December 3, 2014 decision on the Prosecution’s application for a further adjournment, the Prosecution withdraws the charges against Mr Kenyatta,” Bensouda said in her application to the court on Friday. She said the evidence had not improved to an extent to which President Kenyatta’s alleged criminal responsibility could be proved beyond reasonable doubt.
